Rolex Watches
Rolex is probably one of the most famous manufacturers of luxury watches in the world and is also one of the most valuable global brands. History of the company dates back to 1905 when German watchmaker Hans Wilsdorf and his brother in-law Alfred Davis founded “Wilsdorf and Davis” in London. Wilsdorf registered the trademark Rolex in 1908 but the company name Rolex was registered in 1915. In 1919, Wilfsdorf moved his company to Geneva, Switzerland. Today, the company’s headquarters is still in Geneva.
Today the name Rolex virtually says everything but to achieve its reputation the company had to prove itself in precision of engineering, premium design and with outstanding innovations such as the first wristwatch with an automatically changing date on the dial, the first waterproof wristwatch and the first wristwatch to show two time zones at once. Rolex is also the first watchmaker that earned the chronometer certification.
Rolex watches can be easily described as one of the finest watches on the world’s market as well as the number one in the world of glamour and prestige. They are worn by many celebrities as well as by the vast majority of people who can afford a Rolex. Rolex watches are among the most desirable and highly valued luxurious watches and it is probably not a surprise that they are very expensive. After all, “a Rolex is a Rolex”.
